Hope. Connect. Thrive Forum Brings Community Together in Townsville
TSPN’s Hope. Connect. Thrive forum brought together community members, young people, organisations, and presenters across two engaging days of connection, creativity, and conversation in Townsville.
The event saw strong attendance throughout both days, with participants taking part in a range of interactive sessions focused on mental health, wellbeing, resilience, and community connection. The forum created a welcoming space for people to share experiences, learn from one another, and build meaningful connections in a supportive environment.
One of the standout highlights across the event was the creative activity space, particularly the keychain making station and art workshop, which encouraged attendees to slow down, connect creatively, and engage with others in a relaxed and positive setting. These hands-on activities were especially popular with young attendees and helped foster a sense of community and inclusion throughout the forum.
TSPN would like to sincerely thank the Townsville Youth Council for partnering with us to help deliver this important event. Their support and collaboration played a valuable role in creating an engaging experience for attendees.
We also extend our gratitude to the Queensland Mental Health Commission for providing the grant funding that made the forum possible.
Finally, thank you to all presenters, facilitators, volunteers, and participants who contributed their time, knowledge, and energy across the two days. Events like Hope. Connect. Thrive highlight the importance of community-led conversations around mental health and wellbeing, and we are grateful to everyone who helped make the forum such a positive and impactful experience.
