Sunday 16 May 2027 | Castle Hill, Townsville
The Townsville Suicide Prevention Network (TSPN) invites the community to save the date for Hope on the Hill, returning to Castle Hill on Sunday 16 May 2027.
Hope on the Hill will be TSPN’s signature community event for 2027, bringing people together in a visible and meaningful show of hope, connection and support for suicide prevention.
Set against the iconic backdrop of Castle Hill, the event will provide an opportunity for the Townsville community to come together, connect with others and reflect on the important role we can all play in supporting mental health and preventing suicide.
A community united by hope
Suicide prevention is a shared responsibility. Stronger connections, open conversations and greater awareness of available support can help create a community in which people feel seen, valued and able to ask for help.
Hope on the Hill is founded on a simple but powerful idea: no one in our community should feel they have to struggle alone.
The event will welcome people from across Townsville and the surrounding region, including individuals, families, workplaces, community groups and organisations. Whether you have been personally affected by suicide, want to support someone you care about or simply believe in building a more connected community, you will be welcome.
Hope on the Hill will also provide an opportunity to recognise the strength and resilience within our community while encouraging compassionate, informed conversations about mental health and suicide prevention.
